Sammenhængen mellem antikolinergika og faldulykker, sygehusindlæggelse og dødelighed

  • Det er påvist, at anvendelsen af antikolinergika øger risikoen for faldulykker11, 27, 29
  • Anvendelsen af antikolinergika øger også risikoen for indlæggelser,28, længere indlæggelser28 og flere besøg hos praktiserende læge28
  • Dette kan betyde  øgede udgifter til sundhedspleje og sundhedsvæsen
  • Resultaterne fra forskellige studier er modstridende med hensyn til antikolinergikas påvirkning af dødeligheden
  • Visse studier antyder, at der er en vis sammenhæng mellem anvendelse af antikolinergika og øget dødelighed30, 31, 32
  • Man har i andre studier ikke konstateret nogen sådan sammenhæng33, 34, 35
